
Spanish eyewear brand Hawkers began its move into physical retail in 2017 by opening six temporary pop-up stores in shopping centers across Spain. This marked the brand’s first significant step beyond online sales, following the launch of its first permanent store in Madrid. The pop-ups, open for six months, were located in centers including H2O (Madrid), Puerto Venecia (Zaragoza), and Vialia (Málaga).
The strategy aimed to offer customers a direct product experience and support Hawkers’ transition to a more omnichannel model. With consulting from CBRE, the brand implemented the OSS platform, integrating in-store and online experiences. The initiative was part of a broader growth and professionalization plan backed by €50 million in funding led by investor Alejandro Betancourt.
